In June 2024 S.A.S.S.I.E partnered with G2G Consulting and In The Loop of Success to award their Brilliant Roots College Scholarship to senior recipients of the Girls Global Academy in Washington DC.

In collaboration with the DC Black MBA Association, SASSIE Mentoring Inc. salutes our mentee Aniya Stevenson! Aniya placed as one of the top 3 contestants in an Oratorical Contest on Saturday, March 25th, held at the University of the District of Columbia. Aniya’s speech was a tribute to Jane Bolin – the first African American female Judge in the United States. Awesome Job Aniya! We are proud of you!
SASSIE Mentoring Intern Receives Scholarship to George Washington University
SASSIE Mentoring would like to salute our intern, Peniel Bokretzion. Peniel is 1 of 10 students in Washington, DC to receive the Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Scholarship (a 4-year scholarship to George Washington University). Peniel has been our mentee since middle school. She is bright, inquisitive, and enjoys challenging herself to reach new heights. We are so honored to see this “change agent” on the rise. Job well done Peniel!
Intern Rae Tyson earns President’s Award
Sassie Mentoring Inc. salutes our Intern Miss Rae Tyson for earning the President’s Award. Rae is a very well-rounded student and humanitarian. She serves as an Ambassador for her High School, and her academic performance is a bonus on her resumé. We are super proud of Rae and excited for her future. We love you Rae Tyson!
Meet Another New SASSIE Intern for SY22-23, Peniel Bokretzion
Peniel is a rising senior at Paul International High School, who holds over a 4.0 cumulative GPA. She has been part of the S.A.S.S.I.E. Mentoring Program since middle school. She has continuously demonstrated the characteristics of a S.A.S.S.I.E. scholar by being involved in her community, being a diligent student, and striving to do her best to achieve her goals. She is grateful and very thrilled to be chosen as a SY22-23 SASSIE Mentoring Program Intern. She looks forward to the opportunities and learning experiences she’ll gain as she interns and truly believes that the best is yet to come!
Meet Our New Intern for SY22-23, Rae Tyson
Rae is currently a 10th-grade student within the District Of Columbia Public Charter School System who holds a 4.5 GPA. She is an excellent student, writer, and singer. She is super excited to be an Intern on the SASSIE team for the 22-23 academic calendar (beginning this summer), and she can’t wait for the opportunities it will bring. SASSIE salutes Miss Rae Tyson!
